What makes your coffee different?

That is a very good question and one that we get quite often! Our coffees come from different parts of the world, but mostly from different regions of Mexico. We pay a substantial amount for the beans we use in order to pay living wages to the coffee famers who grow these amazing products and source them from high grade farms in a variety of locations. We truly try to bring out all the qualities and flavors from the beans we use by presenting them in a unique fashion as shown in our drink recipes and selections. Furthermore, just as each Luchador’s mask is different and unique, so is every coffee and each type of roast. By having our coffee freshly roasted locally this Sacramento coffee shop is able to extract the profiles and notes making them pronounced rather than hidden.

How is your Sacramento coffee shop name pronounced? What does it mean?

The name of our specialty coffee shop is Luchador Coffee. The word Luchador is pronounced “loo-cha-door” and means wrestler or fighter. The most well known depiction of a luchador or more formally Lucha libre, is Nacho Libre, a famous movie in which the main character is played by acclaimed actor, Jack Black.

I need coffee catered for my next event!

Great! We would be more than happy to either cater batch brewed coffee of our light, medium, or dark roast brews, our iced coffee, or cafe de olla cold brew. Even better, we can do espresso bar catering for any and all outdoor or indoor events or venues. Let us know the date, time, location, and budget, of your event. You can either reach out by filling out the form on the contact us or events page. Thank you for choosing us to cater your next event.

Where does your coffee come from?

Our coffee is freshly roasted in the Sacramento Valley. It is sourced from a few different regions: Mexico, Ethiopia, and Brazil.

Which one of the coffees that you serve is your favorite? Also what is your favorite drink?

That question is very hard to answer because it really depends on the day or the craving of flavor. That is almost like asking who your favorite parent or child is. From customer’s input, our most popular whole bean choice option has to be our medium roast because it is in the middle, not too bitter or dark and also not too much on the light side either. Our most popular drinks include all of the specialty drinks we offer! We have the Full Nelson, the Huracarana, the 916 Latte, the Cocoloco, the Minty Mysterio, the Brain buster, the Calabaza Latte, the Espectro mocha, the Fuego Guerrero, the Mocha Blanca, Mocha on the Rocks, the Piledriver, and the Churro Latte.
